Anson Williams and David Frankham: Next on TVC

Actor/entrepreneur Anson Williams and actor/voice artist David Frankham will join us this weekend on TV CONFIDENTIAL, airing Friday at 6pm ET and PT on Share-a-Vision Radio,

Calendar year 2019 marks the 45th anniversary of the premiere of Happy Days, the beloved sitcom created by Garry Marshall that made Anson Williams a household name as Potsie Weber, Richie Cunningham’s best friend. Today, Anson is an accomplished director, not to mention a recognized philanthropist and businessman. Recently honored by Congress, the California State Senate, the City of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Police Department, Anson has helped first responders across the country raise awareness about drowsy driving—one of the leading causes of automobile fatalities not only in the U.S., but around the world. According to the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, approximately one out of every five fatal car accidents in the U.S. is the result of drowsy driving, while in European nations, drowsy driving accounts for up to 30 percent of all car crashes.

Anson has helped curtail drowsy driving with the creation of Alert Drops, a product that uses the citric acid of a lemon to stimulate the tongue’s sensory neurons, causing an immediate reflex action that will keep you awake in the event you find yourself nodding off while driving. Inspired by the knowledge by Anson’s uncle, Dr. Henry Heimlich, the man behind the Heimlich Maneuver, Alert Drops has been proven to work and save lives. We’ll ask Anson how he came to develop Alert Drops, plus he’ll reflect on the legacy of Happy Days, as well as share a few thoughts on the passing of Penny Marshall. Anson Williams will join us in our first hour.

Anson Williams is also the creator of BOGO List, a new service that offers consumers the very best in fashion, shoes, accessories and many other brand-name products—all at Buy One, Get One (BOGO) deals. Register right now at and you’ll also receive information about GAB, a host of offers for other brand products, at prices that are as Good as Bogo (GAB).

Anson Williams is also scheduled to appear at the annual Beverly Hills Theatre Guild luncheon on Sunday, Mar. 17 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills. The theme of this year’s luncheon will be “The Hollywood Renaissance,” while the highlight of the program will be a tribute to the films and television series of Garry Marshall. Proceeds from the luncheon will help the Beverly Hills Theatre Guild fund their annual national playwriting competitions. For more information, call (310) 765-1605 go to

This week’s program will also include a return appearance by actor and author David Frankham (Which One Was David?). David began his career as a journalist interviewing celebrities for BBC Radio in the U.K. before he came to Hollywood, where chance encounters with Elizabeth Taylor and Alec Guinness led him into live television and, eventually, a long and successful screen career that included such films as Master of the World, Return of the Fly, and 101 Dalmations, as well as such classic TV series and TV specials as The Outer Limits, Maverick, The FBI, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Thriller, The Jack Benny Program, Kovacs on Music, and the original Star Trek. David Frankham will join us in our second hour. Actor Jonathan David Dixon will co-host.

David Frankham provides the voice of The Storyteller in the stop-motion puppet animation adaptation of Nathaniel Hawthorne’s The House of the Seven Gables that was written, produced and directed by Ben Wickey. For our listeners in the Southwest, The House of the Seven Gables will be screened on Saturday, Feb. 16 at the Jean Cocteau Cinema in Santa Fe, New Mexico as part of this year’s Santa Fe Film Festival.
